The Artist Studio On the ground floor at the back of the building, in a timber house from 1908 on Laugavegur, Reykjavík's main street. The apartment door is marked Unit 101 and is reached from Laugavegur by five steps down; there is no ramp. The king bed sits in its own sleeping alcove, which opens onto the living room through a wide doorway. A terrace opens from within the apartment at the back of the house. The living room wall carries a large fresco by the artist Sigurður Sævar, made for this room.
